In the footsteps of saints old and new, this pilgrimage will journey through Ireland, a land of enchanting beauty. Immersed in the backdrop of this natural beauty, the green hills and stunning cliffs, we will explore the rich heritage of Catholicism and the Irish people. Much of this heritage lies in ancient ruins, though its stony monuments point to the great faith that converted the Celtic tribes and established a unique monastic tradition. Newer monuments have also arisen from the prayer and work of new monks and communities, enriched by contemporary saints who have expressed the faith in the modern world. We will visit the sites of Ireland's ancient heroes such as Saints Brigid, Kevin, and Brendan, newer ones, St. Oliver Plunkett, Bl. John Henry Newman, and Ven. Matt Talbot, as well as the shrine of Knock graced by an apparition of Our Lady. Experiences of natural beauty will include Croagh Patrick, the Cliffs of Moher, and a river cruise on the Corrib. Pilgrims will experience an immersion into the beauty of the land, saints, and culture that have shaped Ireland's rich tradition and life.
