After a career in Catholic education, I founded Religious Travel International (RTI) to provide faith-enhancing travel experiences to religious sites worldwide. As an affiliate of The Travel Society, a Virtuoso member, we have access to some of the world's best travel suppliers. Our travelers often comment on the depth of our travel knowledge, our clear communication and our attention to detail; however, our main purpose is to provide meaningful spiritual experiences. It is the combination of our expertise in the practical realities of planning a pilgrimage along with our understanding of the spiritual dimensions of the journey that makes traveling with RTI uniquely enjoyable and spiritually fulfilling.
I was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland. After completing undergraduate and graduate degrees in Communications Arts and International Business, I worked for several years in Higher Education. During these years, I oversaw a Study Abroad Program in Rome, Italy; and it was while in Italy that I came to experience the intersection of faith and travel. I am dedicated to accompanying pilgrims on a journey that allows for a personal encounter with their faith. One of my greatest satisfactions is to see people’s reactions while encountering their own faith as they experience the beauty, history and splendor of the sites and culture offered by an authentic Catholic pilgrimage.
A graduate of DePaul University and former CPA, I worked for 30-plus years in the financial services sector. During these years, I served as a Director, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for several life insurance companies owned by Life Partners Group. I am now co-owner of The Travel Society and serve as financial director of Religious Travel International (RTI). Upon entering the travel business, my wife and I found our own faith deeply enriched through visits to sacred sites, and we determined that we were in a unique position to offer the same opportunity to others. I now enthusiastically share in RTI’s endeavors to provide unforgettable grace-filled journeys for our pilgrims.
